During this tour, you will visit the Archaeological Park of Tipón, the only living sample of the Incas agricultural infrastructure currently in operation, the Church of Andahuaylillas considered as the Sistine Chapel of America, an unparalleled fusion of European, Andean and Islamic architecture with its marvelous works of art and the lost city of Pikillacta, actually a mystery to archaeologists who continue to investigate their existence.

ITINERARY

To start this experience, meeting point is the lobby of your place. once on route and on the way you will see interesting villages full of traditions and history like Saylla, a small traditional village very well know by cusqueños because they like to cook “Chicharrón” (deep fried pork serve with potatoes and mint sauce & onions). Huasao is also another fantastic village, a mystical town where andean sorcerers also called " Shamans "are still living there. some minutes later you will arrive to Tipón, where locals love to sell this traditional dish of “baked guinea pig”, a food very appreciated by locals because its flavor.

Then you will reach your first destination, also called Tipón constructed with perfect harmony with nature, is a masterpiece of architecture and hydraulic engineering. Where terraces, ceremonial fountains, canals and aquaducts built more than 600 years ago are still running until today. after exploring this area and just 10 minutes after this "Chuta bread" which is probably, the biggest bread that you will ever seen is on sell.

Our second destination awaits for you in the Church of Andahuaylillas, or also known as the “Sistine Chapel of America” located in the town's main square, Built on the remains of the palace of Yahuar Huacac Inca, an artistic work and unique mix where European, Andean and Islamic architecture merges, its interior contains lavish works of art adorned with 28-carat gold sheets.

Then and on the way back to Cusco is Pikillacta, a pre-Inca old town whose existence is a mystery for researchers who are still analyzing its walls, avenues and houses that has up to 3 floors and builded in over 50 hectares.

Finally we will come back to Cusco.

  • 08:05 – 08:40 hrs. Roadtrip to Tipón.
  • 08:40 – 10:20 hrs. Tipón Archaeological Park visit.
  • 10:20 – 10:45 hrs. Roadtrip to the Church of Andahuaylillas.
  • 10:45 – 11:15 hrs. Church of Andahuaylillas visit.
  • 11:15 – 11:25 hrs. Roadtrip to Pikillacta.
  • 11:25 – 12:05 hrs. Pikillacta visit.
  • 12:05 – 13:00 hrs. Return to Cusco.
