Without haste, discovering untold secrets and in contact with nature is the way to explore constructions that symbolize the Inca power such as Saqsayhuaman; the mystical - ceremonial center of Qenqo; the military post of Puca Pukara and the sanctuary of the sacred waters of Tambomachay, places where the most important decisions of the Inca past were made; a half day experience, impossible to do on a regular tour.
ITINERARY
On this tour you will visit 4 Incan archaeological centers that surrounds Cusco, from which places Incan leaders used to take important decisions for the entire Inca empire.
To start this adventure we will meet you in your hotel and as a first destination we will go Saqsayhuaman called in old times as "The House of the Sun" with its impossible stone blocks, some weith over 100 tons whose construction is a great mystery that amazes everyone because the perfection of its joins; after exploring this area and just 5 minutes away is Qenqo also called "labyrinth" an interesting magical, ritual and religious center where the bodies of the Inca king and queen were embalmed and preserved for eternity through mummification; finishing Qenqo and another 15 more minutes we will arrive to Puca Pukara fortress, called as "red fortress". It was a military post, an administrative center where every person with a desire to enter the Inca capital had to previously go through this population control; Finally we will go to Tambomachay also called "resting place" an Inca sanctuary to worship water but also for using the water to worship nature where there is an underground water source whose flow is constant at any time of the year.
